Lotte enlisted London luxury retail designers Shed , known for a distinctly contemporary and progressive international design style, to reimagine a ‘different kind’ of department store, Lotte’s first major project in 7 years. The result is a natural haven of luxury retail for the modern mindset of the Dongtan women. .

Apparatus redesigned the interiors – which previously consisted of bold geometric and neoclassical elements – opting for an experience featuring a progression of materials that create distinct experiences for each room. Throughout, light fixtures are hung low to emphasize a dream-like characteristic of the reimagined space.

Consumers can expect to be met by an Interiors Style Advisor who has been expertly trained to offer product and service knowledge and detailed trend advice to suit every customer brief. The ripple metal textures that are seen throughout the store are inspired by the original Frasers store in Glasgow.

As Manish Malhotra embarks on a global journey, the store has been reimagined into an opulent palatial futuristic International Flagship. The interiors feature exquisite chandeliers, decorative wall art, distinctive wall textures, and marble flooring complemented by custom-made bespoke furniture from Gauri Khan Designs.

The 2,500 sq ft store and workspace located on Clifford Street, directly opposite the brand’s Savile Row store, has been reimagined as a three-storey temple to beautifully crafted ready-to-wear and bespoke tailoring. Restoring the original details, whilst adding elements of modernity through the DTD-designed cabinetry and soft furnishings.”

Card , who designed the original interior of the east London store in 2011 , said the challenge for him was using the knowledge he has accumulated since then to create something new. Other recent London store interiors include a boutique sprayed with recycled newspaper pulp and a colourful Marylebone store with handpainted murals.
