Inspired by this, the award-winning, multi-disciplinary practice took on a contextual approach to the redesign centred around blurring the lines between indoor-outdoor living experience while maximizing the views. The layout is deliberately symmetrical to create balance and an atmosphere of conviviality.
US-based outdoor wear retailer Patagonia, for example, centres its narrative on environmental activism, attracting a community of consumers who share the brand’s mission. When these senses are carefully integrated, they work in harmony to reinforce a brand’s identity and craft a cohesive, unforgettable experience.
Descending towards the water’s edge, guests experience the mangroves, where the salty breeze and rustling leaves create a harmonious symphony of nature’s whispers. Through visitor’s journey in the building, these two opposing elements merge creating a harmonious and meaningful journey.
The private island, accessible only to residents and guests, has been sensitively developed to balance a tranquil lifestyle with access to unrivalled community facilities and outdoor activities.
Drawing inspiration from both French finesse and Arabian aesthetics, the new interiors boast a harmonious fusion of styles, offering guests a fresh, vibrant, and uplifting experience. Guestrooms and suites emanate warmth and charm, with open layouts, vibrant hues, and artistic touches.
There are also some open offices near the crown of the building, which facilitates communication and interaction through the introduction of indoor-outdoor spaces. Dividing the lateral floorplan into four, the interior is flexible and offers 10-14 metres of office depth, in order to cater for corporates of different sizes and needs.
The focus is thus on the products; all design mechanisms such as spatial planning, shelf layout and product categorisation work towards the goal of yielding maximum profits at maximum efficiency. The store features a simple layout with light pebble-washed walls and flooring. Traditionally, the physical store is transaction-centred.
Spanning 2,100sqm, the office layout mirrors the meandering streets and avenues of a cityscape, encouraging movement and spontaneous interactions within its vibrant environment. Upon entering the reception area, visitors are welcomed into a harmonious blend of organic curves and minimalist design.
Choosing the right garden orientation can enhance plant growth, energy efficiency, and outdoor enjoyment by aligning your garden with sunlight and wind patterns. A south-facing garden provides consistent sunlight for warmth-loving plants, while an east-facing layout offers gentle morning light for delicate species.
The building itself will be designed so the layouts are unique and maximises its surroundings. The balconies, large and shaded by substantial eaves, serve dual purposes providing shade, while creating a luxurious and inviting outdoor experience that seamlessly flows into the indoor spaces, allowing residents to enjoy open-air relaxation.
Thoughtfully designed spaces not only serve a functional purpose but also become an extension of a company’s brand, telling its story through every design element, color palette, and layout choice. Space planning, traffic flow, and the overall layout are crucial for maintaining a productive, comfortable environment.
