V&A conjures “warped” universe of Alice in Wonderland in virtual reality

Gmail reveals new logo as part of wider brand update

Google has rebranded its email service Gmail, as it launches new brand Google Workspace to group its productivity tools such as Drive and Cal. These apps were previously brought together as Gsuite, and Google says it hopes that the new brand will help integrate them better for workers. All of these apps’ logos have been redesigned as well. Studio PI launches to “address the lack of diversity in the creative industry”

A new photography and illustration agency has been launched which aims to shine a spotlight on creatives from underrepresented backgrounds. Studio PI has been by co-founded by Bridge Studio creative director Sachini Imbuldeniya who tells Design Week that she was frustrated by the lack of diversity in the commissioning talent pool. The new agency has a roster of nine photographers and ten illustrators, who will be represented by two agents working across the sector.

Pinocchio is a tiny bakery in Japan decorated in the colours of bread

Design studio I IN has used warm, golden hues to decorate the Pinocchio bakery in Yokohama, Japan , which displays bread and pastries on minimalist shelves. Measuring at just 4.2 metres wide, Pinocchio sits in front of Oguchi train station and has been decorated to match the delicacies sold within. Ragged Edge has created a new brand for East London Liquor Co. (ELLC) with details inspired by the distillery’s local area. ELLC was started in 2014 with the simple aim of creating “decent booze for decent prices” It seeks to go against the tide of craft spirit companies with a lower price point.
