The first Christmas day return took place at 01:53 on Christmas Day in Kirkcaldy (Scotland), according to data from PayPoint. The item was returned to a Collect+ store at 01:53 on Christmas Day, with the next return made in Crewe at 08:20. Throughout December 2021, the Collect+ network managed more than 4,000,000 parcels. On Christmas Day itself the most intensive location for returns was London, where 55 people used the network to send back their parcels.

Tesco launches UK’s first commercial electric articulated HGVs

Tesco is to operate two electric heavy freight articulated trucks from this month, the first in commercial operation in the UK. The company is partnering with logistics and freight forwarding company FSEW to transport goods emission-free in two new 37 tonne DAF electric vehicles. They will move food and other products between Wentloog rail terminal outside Cardiff to Tesco’s distribution centre in Magor, Wales, a route of around 30 miles each way.

However with open backed windows, schemes do become a bit limiting as you also have to consider the view of the window from inside the store which makes it difficult to hide any necessary adjustments to the products (not that handbags need this of course) plus we have the ugly security grilles too after a series of robberies along this street.
