Online scams have evolved so much since the days of the Nigerian Prince scam, that it is hard for consumers to differentiate between what is real and what is fake, and increasingly, established retailers are bearing the brunt of this. The Iconic is the latest victim of ‘credential stuffing,’ a scam that resulted in customer accounts being used to place fraudulent orders, some totaling thousands of dollars, dating back to November last year.
