Reports have been circulating for more than a month now that Thailand’s Central Group is in talks with Vietnam’s Vincom Retail that could lead to the Thai company buying a majority stake. The real engine of occupancy growth is likely to be the expansions of the latter. So far, it’s doing the trick.

Retailsales in Vietnam enjoyed year-on-year growth of 11.7 Bouncing back. Right now, just about everything is going Vincom’s way.
