The Uncommon Ground boutique is divided into a main floor and a mezzanine level at the back MYT+GLVDK , led by Andrés Mier y Terán and Regina Galvanduque, was commissioned to design the architecture, furnishings and interiors for the store that carries brands including Courrèges, Maison Kitsuné, Ami Paris, Officine Générale and Moscot.

The red scale-tiled facades feature throughout, forming a unique and iconic pattern inspired by mirror glass scales installed in the first Christian Louboutin boutique in the Galerie Véro-Dodat, Paris. The focal point is a feature room in a curved form enclosed by a jade-green leather curtain suspended from a custom polished-chrome rail.

Dutch firm UNStudio has revealed a two-storey flagship store for Chinese technology company Huawei in Shanghai with a facade clad in ivory-coloured petal-like forms. The column was positioned to the side of the central atrium as a focal point for visitors and is wrapped by stairs that lead to the upper mezzanine floor.

The new facade design language extends the block outline of traditional Korean architecture while seamlessly blending in with the facade of the original building.
