Launched in 2013, the Hive Active Heating thermostat and app system allowed customers to control heating and hot water in their homes via the company’s website or app. Instead of a screen, the second phase is minimal and features an LED display that only lights up when the user touches the controls. Can you share with us a bit about your journey as a light-painting artist and how you first got started in this field? But in 2012, a neck injury forced me to end my playing career and so I returned to China in 2013. It took a long time to recover – physically and psychologically – but I found solace in light-painting.

Each one is bordered by bright-white LED strip lights. Panels of fluted glass form a screen around the edge of the store. The urban materiality of the store is interrupted by a couple of ceramic display stands, which Linehouse formed by wrapping convex tiles around steel poles that extend from the floor to the ceiling.
