The first Pan Am retail store also introduced The Pan Am AW2022 Collection, which the brand described as “designed for both fashion and functionality”. An American drama series created by writer Jack Orman was named after the airline in 2011.

When someone mentions Pan Am, most people think of the former US airline that Leonardo DiCaprio portrayed in the hit film “Catch Me If You Can” as a con artist disguising himself as the airline’s pilot. The newlyopened Pan Am flagship store is among them, introducing a design concept adopting the regional characteristics of Seongsu-dong.

The ground-floor Tumi Asia-Pacific flagship store spans more than 186sqm and features a range of artistic design elements, inspired by Tumi’s 19 Degree collection which includes an aluminium backpack. The store’s main focal point is a 19 Degree Aluminium Sculpture by pioneering perceptual artist Michael Murphy.
