Meindert Wolfraad launched Lekker Bikes in 2009 while living in Australia as a backpacker, and over the years, he grew the brand into a successful global cycling business. Meindert Wolfraad: I started Lekker Bikes back in 2009, in Sydney. In 2018, he stepped down as CEO to take on a more strategic role.

Our old store evolved over the 10 years we were there, whereas this time, we have been able to design [the space] intentionally, and have a really nice display for all of the smaller products. Project developers tapped Hensley to revive the store’s legendary window displays. Of course, Hensley was just the person to call given he worked as art director and creative manager of Dayton Hudson’s advertising and marketing department in the 1980s and early ‘90s. Hensley joined the Institute in 2009 as a Professional member.
